Hi!  I am Ritu Narayan, LMT (Licensed Massage Therapist), owner of The Healing Touch serving Agoura Hills, Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks, Oak Park, Calabasas and other adjoining areas. 

I became very interested in massage therapy several years ago after being in a car accident.  I was in a lot of pain, and found that massage helped more in my recovery than medications, which only seemed to mask the pain.  After my recovery, I decided to go to massage school so I could help people the same way.

Touch is a very important part of our daily lives.  Our instinct is to touch wherever there is discomfort or pain. When we have a headache, we find ourselves rubbing our temples.  If a baby is crying, one of the first things we do is pick him up, and rub his back to console him. This is why massage is so helpful.  It can be used as a preventive measure, or to relieve pain and tension that is already present.

About Ritu Narayan

Ritu graduated from Massage School of Santa Monica in 1997.  She gained professional experience at a fitness studio, a physical therapy office and finally at a chiropractic office where she worked for 1½ years as a massage therapist and ultrasound technician.

In 2002 she received her Massage Therapy License from Los Angeles County and and that is when she started The Healing Touch.  Her specialties include Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Pregnancy massage.  Ritu is always interested in learning additional massage and healing techniques to stay up to date with the changing needs of our society.
